Suspended Grid
The 24”x24” PVC Ceiling Tiles and 24”x24” Panels are designed to be installed into the 1” T-bar grid system. The grid system is available from most Home Improvement stores as well as other local suppliers. The grid can be painted to match the ceiling tiles. Please visit our FAQ page for paint information.
If your current grid system has 48”x24” slots you may purchase divider bars in order to make the slots 24”x24” in size. The dividers are available at most Home Depots as well as other local suppliers.
Installation
1. Removing old panels.
To install the 24”x24” Panels it is necessary to remove old panels. However, it is not necessary to remove the old panels for installation of the 24”x24” PVC tiles. Those can be inserted under the old panels.
2. Tile/Panel Installation
Both the PVC Ceiling tiles as well as the Panels are designed to be inserted into the suspended grid system and stay in it without additional support. Simply pop in the tile into the 24”x24” opening and you are done.
3.Lights, speakers, etc...
When installing the recessed lights, speakers, or other accessories it is necessary to put additional support behind the 24”x24” PVC tiles as a mounting backing. An ordinary panel, plywood, etc... works best. If necessary you may use Liquid Nails to glue the 24x24” PVC tile to the support panel.
